Lore Initiatives in the Galactic Hub of No Man's Sky

I consider myself somewhat of a veteran when it comes to the Galactic Hub in No Man's Sky. I highly encourage any fan of the game to make the trek. The community is great, and the Reddit group  (https://www.reddit.com/r/NMSGalacticHub/) is a fantastic way to get news and find the latest activities to do. Among many planets, animals, player bases, and known ship locations, there has been quite a bit of imaginative fan-created lore.

The Book of Hov

Reddit user GtaHov has created the idea of the existence of a fourth race: the Empire of Hova! He placed comm stations in-game that linked to his website with the history of this race. Now the website (https://empireofhova.wixsite.com/bookofhova) and its so called "Book of Hov" is accessible to anyone and is a fun read that blends nicely with the official lore already established for the No Man's Sky universe.

The Lore Vault Project

Reddit user TheMarco has created a similar system called the Lore Vault, but his project allows authors to add to an archive that can only be accessed with codes that authors can leave in comm stations in-game. I have yet to find one, but it seems like a great way to uncover some diverse, in-depth, quality content. Overall, lore is an untapped area of the Galactic Hub that deserves more attention and participation. Both of these people have put great effort into writing interesting stories and allowing players to get involved. I myself am working on a third major (hopefully) lore project to be based in the Hub focusing on the history of the Travelers. I plan to officially "release" the initiative soon with a promotional video. Stay tuned for that.
